It produces 1,843 hp, has the highest torsional rigidity and can accelerate from a standstill to 300 km / h in an incredible 8.4 seconds. We are talking about the Venom F5, the car that aims to break every speed record.
After three years of development, Hennessey has officially unveiled the production version of the model, a high-performance four-wheel drive with impressive proportions and unrivaled performance.
The Venom F5 is the fastest production vehicle ever built. The goal of the American firm is to surpass both Bugatti and Koenigsegg in accelerations and final speed, breaking the barrier of 500 km / h.
The company from Texas promised to try to break the records in 2021, recording everything via VBOX GPS, in the presence of journalists, customers and expert analysts, so that no one can dispute the data.
The car is made of exotic materials. It has a monocoque carbon frame, it has a length of 4,666 mm. width 1.971 mm and height adjustable by the driver, depending on where he is moving. Its appearance is extremely aggressive, with Hennessey designers and engineers placing particular emphasis on aerodynamics.
Press on an upgraded version of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires which have been specially developed for the Venom F5 to withstand the pressure. They have dimensions of 265/35 front and 345/30 rear, with forged wheels 19 and 20 inches respectively.
Its interior is simple and practical, like a racing vehicle. Driver and front passenger sit in carbon seats, in the center console there is a 9-inch touch screen and in front of the wonderful Formula 1 steering wheel a digital instrument panel.
The cabin surfaces are covered with superior quality leather and bare carbon. There are minimal switches and most functions are controlled by the steering wheel. Of course, to be able to handle it requires training from Hennessey testers.
The V8 is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo engine made of steel, aluminum, 3D titanium and gold leaf. The masterpiece engine delivers incredible power of 1,843 hp at 8,000 rpm. and 1,617 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The ratio of kilos per horse is at 0.74 as the vehicle weighs only 1,360k. It is the most powerful internal combustion engine, a marvel of engineering located behind the back of the seats.
Combined with a seven-speed semi-automatic transmission, with the first 100 km / h from a standstill achieved in 2.6 seconds. The 0-200 comes in 4.7 ΄΄, the 0-300 in 8.4 ΄΄ and the 400ari in 15.4 seconds. Driver and co-driver are stuck in the backs of the seats, feeling that something invisible is pushing them violently backwards.
The pressures are tremendous. According to Hennessey, the car is not only very fast but also stable. It remains screwed to the asphalt even though the power is transferred to the rear axle thanks to its advanced electronic aids and erection. The driver has five driving modes at his disposal (Sport, Track, Drag, Wet, F5), adjusting steering wheel, response, engine power and suspension depending on the terrain.
The construction of the Venom F5 will be limited to 24 units. Its price was set at $ 1.73 million and according to the owner of the brand, John Hennessey, he has received an advance payment for the first 12 cars.
