Koronovios: Chrysochoidis Extraordinary Meeting in West Attica – If necessary, areas will be sealed, even house-to-house | HELLAS

“No one can shake his head”, is the message sent by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis after a large meeting in Elefsina on the evolution of the pandemic in Western Attica.

The Minister of Civil Protection participated today, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in a meeting in the Elefsina Sub-Region, with the participation of the Secretary General of Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou, representatives of the Region, mayors of West Attica and health agencies.

During the meeting, the issue of implementation of measures to reduce the coronavirus pandemic and the problems faced by the regions of West Attica were discussed.

It is recalled that a few days ago the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias had stressed that Western Attica is in the “red”, citing detailed epidemiological data.

Immediately after, Michalis Chrysochoidis stated:

“I do not have much to say, in fact I have only one thing to say: No one can shake his head. We are here to help, to explain, to assist, but no one’s head. Otherwise the areas will be sealed, even house-to-house. It is neither a threat nor a warning. It’s a decision and it will be made if necessary “.

Petsas: If necessary, tougher measures will be taken in regional units

Earlier, the government spokesman Stelios Petsas, speaking to Parapolitika 90.1, asked the citizens to be especially careful during the holidays so that there is no resurgence of cases. “There is no case for relaxation of the measures, there is only a hardening”, the government spokesman stressed, announcing tougher measures if necessary in regional units where cases do not subside, or fall slowly or resurgence is observed.

“Every family should have a close circle with which it will interact so that there is no spread of the virus in the community”, stressed Stelios Petsas regarding the holiday season.
