Concern in Kozani about the situation of the pandemic – Mayor communicates with Chrysochoidis | HELLAS

Concern prevails about the situation of the pandemic in Kozani as an increased epidemiological burden is recorded in the area, a fact that has signaled an alarm.

Characteristic is the fact that in yesterday’s announcements of EODY 69 cases are recorded in the Regional Unit of Kozani, a number that reflects the outbreak of the virus in the area.

According to ERT, the mayor of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas, contacted today the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis, in order to inform him about the situation and to discuss ways to better deal with the pandemic in the region.

Indicative of the situation is that two local communities (Lygeri Kozani and Foufa Eordea) record a significant problem of dispersion since about 30 people are ill or have symptoms.

“Stricter measures where needed”

It is noted, however, that, as government spokesman Stelios Petsas stated today, the government is determined to take tougher protection measures in areas where the epidemiological burden remains heavy. According to the government spokesman in today’s briefing on the state of the pandemic, special reference will be made to areas facing problems.
